What a crazy day I had yesterday (although it was very similar to most days of my life). As I was going through the day yesterday I was thinking about how I get down about myself and that I don't exercise enough, or keep my house perfectly clean all the time, or do more things for my kids or other people, etc. etc. etc. Then it came to me why all of that doesn't happen and I thought I would document it just for fun. I am mainly posting this for myself so I don't have to feel so guilty all the time. I know that all of you out there have days like this too so let's all just sit back and take a big deep breath and try to enjoy the journey!!
The following is a few highlights of my day:
* Home from work at 2:30 am.. Went to bed.
* Awake at 7:30 (cool, got to sleep in a little bit)
* Got up to find this..Coop had set breakfast out for himself and Cannon and were just like this..Coop you are so sweet!!
* Fixed breakfast for Conlie and put Cannon in high chair to finish his breakfast because he fell off the "Cars" chair
* Cleaned up grape juice that Conlie spilled all over the tile and up the blinds
* Cleaned up the remaining 95% of Cannons breakfast from his PJ's, high chair and floor
* Showered
* Changed Cannons blow-out diaper (on Antibiotics so every poopy diaper is a HUGE mess)
* Started a load of laundry from Cannon's mess
* Got Conlie dressed and ready to go to dance
* Replaced wet wipes one by one that Cannon had pulled out of the wet wipes box and thrown all over my room
* Changed another messy diaper and put Cannon in the tub
* Packed up Conlies change of clothes, preschool bag and made a sandwich for her to eat between dance and preschool
* 11:15 Picked up Conlie, Ellie and Kenley from dance (thank heavens for carpooling)
* Changed Conlie's shoes, socks and shirt from dance clothes to preschool clothes
* 11:30 Ran Cons into preschool while she ate lunch in the car
* 11:45 Did my computerized work schedule
* Fed Cannon
* Swept dining room floor
* Started another load of laundry
* Put Cannon down for nap
* Tried to lay down for a few minutes but couldn't get my mind to shut off so got up and cleaned up a few toys
* 1:45 picked up Conlie
* Check e-mail, paid a few bills
* Changed another messy diaper and started another load of laundry
* Bathed Cannon AGAIN
* Played www.barbie.com with Conlie
* Played Candy Land with Conlie
* Kids home from school so went through backpacks, helped with homework, talked to kids about their day
* Looked around the house to find Cannon had completely destroyed my living room
* Noticed Cannon was being too quite and found him playing in the toilet water
* Was going to bathe Cannon but twice in one day was enough so washed his arms EXTRA well in the sink. Changed his clothes.
* Changed another messy diaper (thank heavens this one didn't require a bath)
* 4:20 Chon's Home - so grateful he is a great hubby and dad who helps out when he gets home..Love ya babe!
* Fixed dinner
* 5:00 Drove Cambrie to dance
* Washed dishes. Got tearful while I was doing dishes as Cooper was telling me about doing "partner dances" in school and I can't stand the thought of him growing up.
* Sent Cooper to scouts
* Swept and mopped tile
* 7:00 Picked up Cambrie from dance
* Cleaned up the 500 little legos, wooden blocks, game pieces, stuffed animals and other toys in the living room
* Watched Chon playing with kids for a few minutes (he's such an awesome daddy)
* Got kids ready for bed
* 8:30 - all kids in bed. Aaah
* 8:45 - Sent Chon to get me an Extra Large Diet Coke
* 9:00 - Sat down to watch a movie with Chon. Folded laundry while watching the movie
* 10:00 - Fell asleep halfway through the movie
And ALL of this is worth it because.........

LOVE it Carrie! Oh so true!! You always document things in the cutest ways! I can't believe 2:30am 7:30am is sleeping in for you! I don't see how you do it all! You are an amazing mom, wife, and friend! We sure love ya! :)
WOW! What an AWESOME day!! SERIOUSLY! You are an incredible Mom! I remember those days - it seems like a life-time ago I was bathing the poopy-blow-out kid & throwing away the onesie. :) Time really does move fast! You & Chon are wonderful to take the time to stop & play with your kids - they (& you) will remember that forever! And what a precious pic of Con lovin her daddy! Thanks for taking me down memory lane!
All I can say is YIKES! I would say 80% of that does not get done at my house...maybe I need to rethink how much I really do around the house. You are an amazing person and I have always admired you for that. I knew you wer busy but when you put it into words I am even more amazed! Love ya!
Holy cow! I hope you do not feel guilty about not being everything you think you should be because you are and more!!! Reading this makes me tired, think I'll go to bed. :) Love you, mom.
WOWWY!!! You had me rolling on the ground laughing and almost crying! Raising a family is REALLY like that. You are an amazing wife and mother. Never forget that! It definitely shows!
