Back to School

After a fun, busy summer, it's time to get back into a routine and go to school. It's always bittersweet for me. I enjoy having the kids home and not worrying about homework, early mornings and early bedtimes and all the hustle and bustle. We always do a lot of fun things and really play hard, however, summer is expensive, crazy and we tend to get a little cranky with each other because we spend so much time together (anyone else have that problem?).

I have been worried for the longest time about Cooper entering Junior High. That is such a big step and a critical time for kids. He has sure grown up over the last year and he is excited and ready, but I'm not sure I am. We went to the school a few days before it started so he could make sure he knew where his classes were and how to open his locker. I figured I would try to be nice and not take an embarrasing picture on the first day so I got a couple that day. Coop came home the first day of school and absolutely LOVED it. He had no trouble and really enjoyed the whole experience. What a relief!

This is how Coop feels about starting school at West Point Jr. High. I thought this was so cute and I was lucky enough to have my camera ready when he did this.

The real first day of school

Cambrie is in 5th Grade at Lakeside Elementary. She continues to be such a great student, always doing her work to perfection and does a super job and mastering new things.

Cam was so excited about her see through "Vans", she wanted me to get a pic of them.

Cambrie is very fortunate to have an amazing teacher, Mrs. Houghton. Cooper had her in 5th grade and she quickly became his favorite teacher. She is so dedicated and wonderful!

Conlie is at Bravo Arts Academy again. She loves it there. She has been Soooo excited to be in the "4 year old class."

This was Cambrie and Cooper's first day but Conlie and Cannon wanted to get in on the action of the photo taking.
Cannon's attempt at "say CHEEEESE"
