Kids Artwork

One of my VERY favorite things as a mother is to see the artwork that my kiddos create. My girls recently did some pretty awesome things I wanted to make sure and always remember.

This picture is the very first that Conlie has done that is actually a real picture of something that she did on her own. She made this at Church and it is a picture of our prophet, President Monson. I thought it was just so darn cute!!
This is a really amazing picture that Cambrie drew free-hand. She has always been a super artist but this, I have to say, is one of her masterpieces. She looked at a small picture of this horse and drew this enlarged version to perfection! I was so impressed when I saw it. She has such a creative and free spirit about her. I hope as she grows up she can use her talent to benefit herself and others.

ReAL Salt Lake Game

We had the chance to go to a ReAL Salt Lake Soccer Game last Saturday. It was super fun! We had a "real" awesome time together! Thanks Mom and Dad for watching Conlie and Cannon so they didn't have to brave the freezing cold, rain, and wind with us! It was also very nice to be able to focus on Coop and Cam for a night. We were so happy that ReAL won...especially against David Beckham and the LA Galaxy!

We went to Red Robin before the game for a tasty meal. The kids were so silly!
Funny that Coop just HAD to put his foot in this picture because he HATES me taking his picture these days (as you will see below)
Fireworks at the beginning of the game..way cool!

Opening kickoff! Is that what you call it in soccer?

Thanks Cambrie for being a good sport about me taking pictures, and Coop I could just spank you for never smiling for me..haven't you realized I take a LOT of pictures and that isn't going to stop? Love you both!

As you can see by the way we are all dressed, we froze our booties off, but we didn't care.

Color Me Mine

My friend Andrea invited Conlie and I to go with her and Isaac to a great place in Ogden called "Color Me Mine". It is a little ceramic shop that you go to and pick out an item and paint it, then leave it to be fired. It was a great activity to do with the kiddos. We had a really nice time and the kids made some beautiful Easter Eggs! Thanks Andrea and Isaac for a fun time and great idea!

Excited to start painting

It was funny, Conlie held all three paint brushes the whole time and kept switching back and forth as if they had a very specific purpose.

Conlie and Isaac hard at work

Such concentration!

Finished up and ready to be fired

Just relaxin' after a long day at the ceramic shop!

The Finished Product...Isn't it Beautiful?

Cannon did a little painting too...face painting that is!

Happy 12th Birthday Cooper!

Cooper:

How did you go from a cute little roly poly ball of joy to a lean, handsome, awesome young man? Time has gone by so fast but we have enjoyed the journey with you! You are a great kid and such an important part of our family. We love you and are so proud of your accomplishments! You are smart, funny, talented, athletic and a super brother to your brother and sisters. They look up to you a lot and we appreciate your example to them. You have such a great personality and fun sense of humor and we are grateful for you.We are excited for you to continue to learn and grow-up and experience life. We are excited that you will be receiving the Priesthood and for the responsibilities that entails. We pray that you will continue to follow the right path and to stay close to your family and to make good choices! Have an awesome birthday and a great year! We Love You So Much Super Coop!! Mom and Dad

We had a fun family party for Coop. We are grateful to have such a supportive family. Coop scored big time in the cash area...thanks everyone!

Make a Wish...

Cooper was sooo excited to get a cell phone. This was a big step for us as parents but I think it will be a good thing for him. It was fun because we left the phone on and when he got ready to open it, we called the phone and he started freaking out. It was great!

We have had a tradition to take the kids out of school for lunch individually sometime during the week of their birthday. Cooper chose to go to Taco Time. It was really nice one-on-one time with him. It was great that Chon could sneak away from work to meet us there. I told Chon and Coop to make a funny face..good job Coop and Chon..really is that the best you could do?

Just can't resist the old bunny ears trick can you Chon?

Coop went to Syracuse Fun Center with a few of his buddies to celebrate. I was not invited :) Guess it was a "boys only" gig. Chon had a great time with them though.

They thought they were so funny to take pictures in front of the princess castle. What a bunch of studs!
