Fishy Face

Cannon has been sick and ended up with RSV this past week. Thankfully, it wasn't bad enough to need to be in the hospital but it required treatments at home. He gets nebulizer treatments and they brought this cute little fish mask to make it a little more fun for him since it's really kind of scary for him. I also realized the power of a mothers bond as I was giving him one of the treatments. He was totally freaking out the first time I gave him the treatment and for some reason I decided to just start singing to him. It was the craziest thing, he immediately stopped crying and completely calmed down and just relaxed, listened and took the treatment with no problems. So I totally understand that I am not going to be winning any singing contests anytime soon, but for some reason my sweet little baby appreciates my voice! I have always wanted to be able to sing but it's not a talent I was blessed with. If I stopped singing at any time during the treatment, he would start crying again. This was just so sweet and meaningful to me to know I have such a bond with my baby boy! We love you, Mr. Cannon, get well soon!!!

Poor guy!! RSV is no fun! Glad you're able to take care of it at home though! And what a sweet story about your singing to him calming him down. I think every mothers voice is music to their baby's ears! And though it stinks when they're sick, I totally agree that it allows for greater bonding. Get better soon Cannon! Let us know if you guys need anything Carrie!

What a precious story, I'm so proud of you Carrie as a Mother and a daughter. You sure know how to keep the family going, I don't know how you do it. Poor Cannon has been so sick for so long, hope he gets well soon! But, he keeps on smiling, what a little trooper. Love you all so much. mom
