Icebreaker Soccer Tournament

We went to St. George over President's Day Weekend for Cooper to play in the Icebreaker Tournament. It was a nice getaway, although not without some adventure!! Sick kids, recent potty training, and questionable weather played into the drama but we certainly had a great time! We sure missed Cambrie, she had to stay back for a dance commitment. THANKS to mom and dad for taking her for the weekend. She had a great time!

The team (Wildcats) did AWESOME! We are so proud of Cooper for how he is growing as a soccer player. He is really improving his skills and confidence. The team went undefeated for the 3 games prior to the finals. Then the final game they tied, went to double overtime, then a shootout and lost. 2nd place is not to shabby though! Great job Coop and the Cats!!! It was so fun to watch you play! These crazy boys at our Team BBQ.
A few pics of Coop playing. I am horrible at action shots so usually I clicked too late or too early but anyway....
It was FREEZING at 8am for the first game. Notice the WHITE grass!!
The kids were such troopers!!

Climbing the Red Rocks

While we were in St. George, we went to a little place just outside of town and did a little climbing and exploring on the Red Rocks. It is so beautiful and fun. It was a little cool and windy for the little ones so they only enjoyed it for a short time but Coop and his buddy Cort had a blast!!

These are their cold faces (and looks like a cold belly on one of them..getting a mother of the year award on that one).

Happy Valentines Day

We had a great Valentines Day! We just did the usual..I helped with kids parties, had a nice dinner as a family with decorations and delicious pink cupcakes, and enjoyed spending time together. Chon and I went out on a nice date last weekend and had dinner and went to see "The Vow". It was a rare but much appreciated time together! Thanks mom and dad for helping out with the kids so we could go!

Klondike 2012

Cooper and his scout troop went to the Klondike Derby and braved the cold and snow. It was a quick trip but they had a great time. They did some ice fishing, sled racing and other activities. Great job boys!! And thanks to their leaders PJ and Nick for taking the time and effort to deal with the cold and these silly boys. This is a time I'm grateful to be a girl :)Not sure how to explain the expression on Coopers face.
